'What is that?"

I usually get this question when I wear my Average Athlete hat. So, here’s the story...

A few years ago I was in Lake Tahoe, CA (@tahoebridgetender to be exact) enjoying one or two or three Moscow mules with some good friends. Those buddies happen to be really good skiers and also happen to work at a company with some amazing pro athletes. I started talking about how I’m more of an Average Athlete...still an athlete, but one who is happy with just getting down the mountain or finishing a race the best that I can. I told them that I think I should be a sponsored “average athlete” for that company.🤷‍♀️ 😬 That didn’t happen but Average Athlete stuck and it has always made me laugh.

This weekend, Average Athlete made an appearance @brokenarrowskyrace - thank you @jcodypittman and @thatbarrazaboy for being the best supporters! We got a lot of smiles and, again, a bunch of people asked about the hat. The Average Athlete hat has always started a lot of conversations, some good, some bad and sometimes just interesting passing comments.

Average Athlete is just a funny celebration of athletes. Everyone has their own average, so join the team
